The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking volunteers to complete an online survey study about substance use. We want to learn more about experiences with novel or less commonly used substances, such as kratom, kava, akuamma seed, and tianeptine.
If you have used these substances, you may be eligible to complete the survey.
The survey is anonymous and does not collect personal health information about you. Completion times will vary based on substance use experiences, but we estimate the survey to take approximately 30-35 minutes to complete.
There is no treatment as part of this study and survey completion is not compensated.
If you are interested in volunteering to complete this online survey, please see the flyer or link below. Scanning the QR code or using the below link will provide you with additional information and access to the survey.
Scientific surveys like this help researchers gather data on the prevalence of kratom use, patterns of consumption, and the demographics of users. This information contributes to a better understanding of how and why people use kratom and other plants.
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the premier medical schools in the United States. The School of Medicine was established in 1893 and has since become a leader in medical education, research, and patient care.
